A large number of the best family places in Barbados charge no entry fee at all. The beaches are public, the parks are open, and plenty of markets, trails, and landmarks are free to walk around. This is where to start.
Build the day around one part of the island
Barbados beaches are public and free to enter. A beach morning can become a full family outing when the same area has a play park, boardwalk or picnic space. Food, chairs and water sports may cost extra, so bring water, snacks and shade if the aim is a genuinely low-cost day.
Public parks, coastal walks and historic districts add variety without another entry fee. Group stops by parish rather than collecting free places across the island, because fuel, parking and time can cost more than the activity saves.
Free does not mean unplanned
